Newly elected, Zanu PF provincial chairman, Robson Mavhenyengwa says he work in uniting Zanu PF members in the province following fiercely contested elections which were riddled by counter accusations of rigging and electoral malpractices and left the political volatile province polarized according to factions.
Mavhenyengwa who is the Zaka North House of Assembly member, was the vice-chairperson of Zanu PF in the previous provincial executive.
He is got 19 910 votes while Ezra Chadzamira, the outgoing chairman got 17 233.
“I am going to work on uniting Zanu PF members.There was no winner or loser in the just ended elections,”Mavhenyengwa told Hevoi FM News.
“The other point is that we will work as a team to ensure that Zanu PF wins the forthcoming bye elections.Remember, crucially, we are going to have bye elections in Mwenezi West, and Chivi South.We will also work to see that the party wins resoundingly in 2023 national elections,”he said.
Mvhenyengwa also said that he will work with all people of Masvingo province regardless of their political affiliations.
“We are a family of Masvingo, we need to work together to uplift our standard of living,”said Mavhenyengwa who is a former police intelligence chief in the province.
