NGUNDU– Tabonashe Maruva aka Mkaydee, an upcoming reggae dancehall artist has released a song called Hustler in collaboration with Blaqbwouy Likkle from the west African country of Ghana.
Mkaydee (20) is from Masvingo City but now based at Ngundu Business Centre says due to Covid-19 restrictions he linked up with Likkle on Instagram and used the online platform to record the song and it was released on March 6 this year.
Hustler is a song which encourages the youth to work hard. Makydee told The Mirror that he is now working on another single which will be released soon. Mkaydee says he started his music career in 2014 and his family members’ support keeps him going on even during difficult situations.
Mkaydee has produced 30 singles in his career so far and his latest project was produced by Tx nt Mixer Studios of Ngundu and others were produced by Rabbo Studios of Masvingo.
“Mkaydee is a very talented artist and if he is to get good promoters, he can go far but due to financial problems promoters are hard to come by,” said Ian Rangwani doubles up as businessman and promoter to upcoming artists.
Mkaydee says he is grateful to God and everyone who is supporting him in music because his song is receiving positive response from fans on social media platforms like Youtube.
The Ngundu based artist was born in a family of three and went to Runyararo Primary in Masvingo, he did his secondary at Mashoko High in Bikita. He started singing at the age of 16 years and gets his inspiration from artists like Patoranking, Nutty O and his father Eller Flowers.
