Shortage of building material and inadequate manpower has stalled the construction of Mazheugwe Clinic under Chief Maregere in Chivi district. Councilor of the area, Tedfred Tizai told Hevoi FM News that villagers have run out of cement and other construction materials. “The completion of the clinic has been delayed as we have run out of cement. We are currently constructing the clinic using farm bricks which makes it difficult given the prevailing rains,” said Tizai. Tizai also added that they are facing an acute shortage of manpower towards the construction of the clinic. “We are also facing a shortage of manpower…..villagers who were doing voluntary work are currently busy tilling the fields,” he said. Once complete, the clinic will serve the Maregere community which was walking long distances to nearest clinics such as Chivi district hospital.
