Villagers around Matibi Mission in Mwenezi district have spent almost a month without electricity after power lines poles fell following a hailstorm.
Villagers told Hevoi FM News that business has been severely affected due to lack of electricity.
“The problem began when electricity poles fell following a hailstorm and we have never been able to have the problem solved by authorities,”said a villager in the area.
“Right now our businesses have been affected as we can keep food such as beef, pork or chicken in fridges.We have made some losses as a result of this anomally,”said a businessman who operate in the area.
A hailstorm hit the area destroying infrastructure such as electricity poles and the road network.
