Charumbira villagers form an association to spearhead development projects. By Samuel Njinga

Charumbira villagers in Masvingo have decided to join hands together to form an association, Group of Children of Masvingo West Constituency whose key objective is to focus on projects that will help them eradicate poverty in the area as well as uplift the socio-economic status quo of the constituency.
Chirambadare village head, Stephen Munjenjema who is one of the village heads in the area confirmed this development to Hevoi FM News.
“We sat down together with one of the children in disapora who hails from this area and agreed to come up with projects that will go a long way in redefining ourselves in terms of team work. Through this association, we have managed to pay examination fees for those school leavers who are pursuing their ‘O’ Level English examinations. Women in Mataruse village have received more than 300 chicken birds so as to help them start poultry projects. Also a number of boreholes have long since been repaired,”he said.
Village 20,Ward 10 Councilor, Kumbirai Takunyai added:
“There is a speedy economic refurbishment and recovery here. The Vadanda and Veza bridges in this area have been repaired through this association.”
