Government said the construction and development of smart cities is inevitable. The Deputy Minister of Local Government and Public Works, Marian Chombo said government will make it easy and facilitate the construction of such cities, which are very crucial for the development of the country adding that Zimbabwe must not be left behind as the world evolves.
Deputy Minister Chombo was speaking during the recently concluded Infrastructure Investment Conference organized by Global Renaissance in Harare. A smarty city is a city or municipality that informs, protects, and improves the experience for its citizens. Above all, they operate based on the swift acquisition and aggregation of data, the fast assimilation of this information into useful content and its real-time dissemination to stakeholders, leading to more informed decision-making.
