The Minister of National Housing and Social amenities, Daniel Garwe, today blasted war veteran, Blessed Geza for undermining President Emmerson Mnangagwa`s integrity.
Garwe, who was in Masvingo today for the purpose of launching 547 Government Commonage Stands to various civil servants at Masvingo Polytechnic, made a swift swerve to denounce Geza soon after having finished his initial speech on the parcelling out of stands. He also made a clarion call for all party members to use legal and relevant structures to address their grievances.
With his voice crackling with the weight of disdain, Garwe likened Geza`s recent attack on the President as something that can only be done by someone who is under the mentorship of drug abuse, “tumbwa” and further described Geza as a dog, “Bhoki” that needs to be masticated so as for it to disclose its master.
“For Geza to attack the President in such a vile manner, is to undermine the very fabric of this nation. His name is no longer Blessed Geza but “Cursed Geza”. We have so far carried out investigations and came to learn that Geza`s behaviour is being agitated by fear of arrest following a number of criminal cases that he committed. Don`t listen to him. Geza is like a dog that has been unleashed by someone hiding somewhere. In life, you have to beat the dog, Bhoki, if you want it to direct you to its owner,” said Garwe.
Recently, at a press conference streamed online, Blessed Runesu Geza, a war veteran of Zimbabwe’s 1960s and ’70s liberation struggle as well as a member of ZANU-PF’s central committee together with a group of Zimbabwe’s liberation war veterans called for President Emmerson Mnangagwa to resign, accusing him of failing to live up to the promises he made in 2017 when he came to power. Nepotism, corruption and failing to address the moribund economy were some of the allegations that were raised by this group. Apparently, ZANU-PF Party leaders have long since intimated that they are not taking Geza`s issue lightly.
