The Lowveld Agricultural Show and Trade Fair, scheduled for 6 to 8 August, is expected to drive economic growth and promote agricultural innovation in the district, with about 100 exhibitors set to participate.
Speaking ahead of the event, Lowveld Show Society Chairperson Vanencio Kurauone said preparations have been finalised, with exhibitors from across the agricultural and business sectors ready to showcase their products and services.
Held under the theme, “Harnessing the Lowveld’s Agricultural Potential for Sustainable Growth and Value Addition,” the show will provide a platform for farmers, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), agribusinesses and other stakeholders to network, explore new markets and exchange ideas.
Kurauone said the exhibition will enable farmers and SMEs to access new products, equipment and technologies that can improve productivity, enhance value addition and encourage the adoption of modern farming practices.
He added that the event is expected to stimulate business activity in the Lowveld by fostering networking, strengthening business linkages and attracting investment to the district.
Minister of Women’s Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, Senator Monica Mutsvangwa, will be the Guest of Honour at this year’s show.
The annual event is expected to bring together producers, suppliers, buyers and development partners, reinforcing the Lowveld’s position as one of Zimbabwe’s key agricultural hubs.
