Masvingo Residents Forum secretary, Prosper Tiringindi says Masvingo City Council must focus attention on the provision of health and education in its budget for 2022.
Masvingo City Council has begun a process of formulating the budget for 2022.
“We urge council to take into consideration residents’ concerns when crafting the budget because over the years, council had the tendency of ignoring residents concerns,”said Tiringindi.
He added:
“We are urging the local authority to construct another clinic to cater for residents of Victoria Ranch which is the fastest growing settlement in the city.We are also calling on council to ensure completion of Rujeko secondary school in 2022.Other projects that are of great importance include Mucheke Trunk Sewer Project, roads rehabilitation and public street lighting.”
Masvingo City Council is in the process of crafting the 2022 annual budget and has already done virtual consulatative meetings with stakeholders.
