Police in Masvingo have vowed to continue with a clampdown action against vendors until sanity prevails in Masvingo Central Business District.BY REGIS CHINGAWO

Zimbabwe Republic Police provincial spokesperson, Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa told Hevoi FM News that the blitz will continue as long as vendors sell their wares at undesignated areas.
“We would like to reiterate that we will continue with the blitz until sanity prevails in the city.Vendors must sell their wares in areas designated by council and follow the local authority by laws,”said Inspector Dhewa.
He added:
“There have been reports that the affected vendors are not happy about the way they are being treated by law enforcement agents when they are arrested.We would like to inform the vendors that they must hand over their querries to police superiors for remedial action to be taken.”
Masvingo City Council with the assistance of police have launched a blitz against vendors who have mushroomed in the city’s Central Business District.
