A Bikita man Pesanai Magura (42) of Mabhandi village under Chief Mukanganwi died after drinking undiluted King stallion Brand Spirit on the 19th of September at a friend’s house.
The now deceased is alleged to have been drinking beer with friends at Thomas Machoba’s house in Duma location, Bikita where he took the king stallion Brand spirit from his bag and drank it undiluted in a space of 5 minutes.
According to a police report that after drinking the spirit, he started vomiting and became unconscious. Machoba tried to give him first aid and the deceased left after he started feeling better.
At 12 noon that day, his condition is said to have deteriorated and he later died.
The acting Zimbabwe Republic Police Masvingo Province spokesperson Sergeant Lloyd Masundire confirmed the case.
“We can confirm we received a case of a man who died after drinking stallion spirit,”said Masundire.
The case was reported at Bikita police station and the body was taken to Ndanga mortuary awaiting postmortem.
