‘Domestic workers do not have PPEs’

Domestic Workers Association of Zimbabwe programmes manager, Joseph Chiyangwa says domestic workers are not being given protective clothing to protect them from COVID-19 pandemic, meaning that they are vulnerable to the disease.
“Domestic workers are essential workers playing a crucial role in the care of children, the sick and dependent people as well as maintenance of homes.They end of being affected by the pandemic and it is sad to note that a few of them are being given protective clothing,”said Chiyangwa.
