Finish up renovations at Simon Muzenda home-Masvingo residents urge authorities. By Tatenda Chikara

Masvingo residents are calling on authorities to complete renovations at the home of the late vice-president, Simon Muzenda at an area commonly known as kumaR in Mucheke suburb.
Residents told Hevoi FM news that the home can attract tourists if well maintained.
“We thought by now a durawall would have been erected but up to now, nothing has been done,”said a resident.
“Some workers contracted to do the renovations came but left leaving some bricks without any carrying work.This place is a historical site and if well maintained it can attract tourists and can be a national heritage,”said another resident.
The home was once haven of commercial sex work with youth taking some drugs.The sad state of affairs come when the nation is commemorating the death of former vice-president Muzenda who passed away on 20 September in 2003.
