The manager of Masvingo Pirates netball team, Mercy Kanyemba said his squad is raring to go and is hoping that his team will do well during the tournament set for Bulawayo this weekend.
Kanyemba told Hevoi FM Sports that she is grateful with the preparations.
“We are grateful with the support we are having from the community, from the coach to the players and team management,”she said.
“We are now geared up and we are hoping to do well as we have prepared adequately,”said Kanyemba.
Masvingo Pirates has been paired in Group D with Platinum, Blanket Mine, Black Rhinos, Chinhoyi University of Technology and Harare district.Meanwhile the squad is set to leave today for the netball tourney that will start tomorrow and ends on Sunday.
The first edition of the Premier Netball League (PNL) will be played in Bulawayo tomorrow as teams hone their skills ahead of the start of the main league.After over a year of inactivity due to COVID-19 control measures in the country, netball players return to the courts for competitive action.
