One of Zimbabwe’s top music producers Prince Tapfuma better known as Oskid in the music circles said he had to hold his tears back when legendary Congolese Rhumba maestro Koffie Olomide walked into Passion Java records to be recorded by him. Oskid was speaking during a radio interview with our sister station, 98.4FM.
“I thought it was a joke when I heard that Olomide was coming for a recording and when I saw him in the studio, I nearly could not hold my tears,”said Oskid.
Koffie Olomide came to Zimbabwe to record Patati Patata with urban grooves singer Roki and it also featured Tanzanian Bongo Flavor artist Rayvanny. The song has received mixed feelings from Roki’s Fans. Patati Patata has broken internet records and currently has more than five million views on YouTube since it was officially premiered two weeks ago.
